7. The course of competition
7.1 After the division of the participants into groups, the qualifying stage of the competition is carried out in each group, i.e. the sound pressure of all cars in the same group is measured.
7.2 After the participant enters the measurement site, participant is given 5 min. of preparation.
7.4 The participant must arrive at the site in 5 minutes. after the judge instructs the microphone. If the participant does not arrive at the site within the set time, the measurement is not performed. In this case, the participant’s result is 0.00dB.
7.5 After the qualifying stage, there are eight or four (if there are less than 8 participants in the group) participants whose car sound pressure measurement results are the best. They continue to compete in the upper stages, others are eliminated from the competition.
7.6 After the qualification, the participants compete in pairs according to the result shown in the following order: first with the eighth, second with the seventh, third with the sixth, fourth with the fifth (first with the fourth, second with the third).
7.7 The relegation stage of the competition follows the rule: losing – falling out.
7.8 The participant can use any medium (USB, data logger, Bluetooth interface, etc.) with any music recording, the measured frequency is not lower than 20 Hz and not higher than 60 Hz. The recording must be musical. If the sound recording during the measurement is lower than 20Hz or higher than 60Hz, the result is 0.00db or the Organizer indicates in the Competition Description that the music recording will be provided by the Organizer.
7.8 If a failure has occurred in the participant’s audio system during the measurement, but the result is recorded higher, the participant must be able to rectify the fault before the next stage of the competition. If this fails, the losing participant in the pair enters the next round.
7.9 If the audio system fails at the measurement site but before the measurement starts, the participant can clear / adjust his audio system for 5 minutes. If he is not able to get his audio system fixed in order during this time, the participant loses the right to compete further – he falls out.
7.10 Only the driver’s side door can be opened during the measurement. If any door other than the driver is opened during the measurement, the participant will be disqualified.
7.11 If the second participant agrees and the judge allows, once the violation has been remedied, a re-measurement is carried out (immediately without leaving the measurement place).
7.12 Between measurements, or at a sound measurement site within 5 minutes of preparation, it is permissible to change the subwoofers or other parts of the system to the same (or smaller) size, quantity and power as declared at the time of registration.
7.13 With the same measurement results, participants are given the opportunity to charge their car batteries for 5 minutes (only with the help of the engine, without the use of any additional loaders) and check the sound system without leaving the site. After 5 minutes, the
7.14 Only the participant controls his car sound system.
7.15 The participant is allowed to have a support group (up to 5 people including children) at the measurement site next to the car. Participants in the canceled class are promoted to a higher class. If the Participant does not agree to change the class – the Participant has the right to refuse to participate in the Competition or Category.
